Terms of Service

Effective date: 25 July 2025

1. Acceptance

By using the iTranslator Discord bot or website (“Service”) you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms work together with the Terms of Sale and the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must meet Discord’s minimum age and French digital consent rules (15+) to use the Service. By using it you confirm you are eligible.

3. Access / Account

Access is through Discord OAuth; we do not create separate local accounts. You are responsible for securing your Discord account and any actions performed through it.

4. Licence

We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your own internal purposes. You may not resell, sublicense, copy, reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code.

5. User Content

You remain owner of the content you submit and of the outputs generated. You grant us a licence to process that content only to provide, secure and improve the Service (including anonymous caching). Do not submit content you lack rights to or that is illegal.

6. Acceptable Use

  • Use the Service for lawful purposes only.
  • No bypassing, overloading or interfering with technical limits.
  • No unauthorised access, probing or building a competing product without written consent.

We may disable the Service for a user or guild in case of abuse or violation.

7. Support

Support is provided on a best‑effort basis via email ([email protected]) and the official Discord server. We may refuse support at our discretion.

8. Availability

The Service may be modified, suspended or discontinued at any time. Downtime may occur. No SLA is provided.

9. Third‑Party Services

The Service depends on Discord and external AI/LLM providers. Their failures or changes may impact the Service; we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

10. Disclaimer

Translations, transcriptions and audio outputs are provided “as is” and may contain errors. You are solely responsible for any decisions or publications based on them.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (loss of profit, data, business). Our total aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the amounts paid by you in the 12 months prior to the event. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (e.g. fraud, gross negligence, mandatory consumer rights).

12. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or infringement of third‑party rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violation of these Terms, abuse, security risk or legal request. Sections intended to survive (e.g. licence restrictions, limitation of liability, indemnification) remain in effect.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. The updated version is posted on the website with a new effective date. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

French law governs these Terms. For business users, exclusive jurisdiction is with the courts of Lyon (France). Consumers may use their local courts and the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
